Our encashment of your deposit represents formal acceptance and confirmation of your booking.

Your signature on the Booking Form and our encashment of your deposit constitutes a contract which shall be governed by French law and be subject to the jurisdiction of the French courts.

A 'Booking re-confirmation/balance reminder/invoice' will be sent to you 8 weeks before your holiday start-date.

Settlement of the balance of your booking is required not less than 6 weeks before the holiday start-date.

Payments of the balance can be made in Sterling, or Euros (either by Bankers Draft or by Bank Transfer by the "World Pay" system.)

Any further payments for such things as bike hire etc. during your stay, will be invoiced and payable in Euros at the end of your stay.

Cancellation at any time must be made in writing.

If we receive notice of cancellation 12 or more weeks prior to holiday start-date, we will refund your deposit less an administration charge of 10% of the total accommodation price -  or you may opt for the total amount of the deposit to be held against an alternative booking within 12 months of the original.
An alternative booking cannot be of a lesser value than the original and  is subject to any price rise which may occur from the time of the original booking.

If notice of cancellation is only received less than 12 but more than 6 weeks prior to accommodation start-date NO refund of initial deposit will be made.

No refunds can be made of all and any monies if cancellation is within 6 weeks of your holiday start-date.

You are recommended to arrange comprehensive travel insurance to include cancellation cover.

Reservations made less than 6 weeks prior to accommodation start-date require payment in full at the time of booking.

If payment is not received by the due date we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Nevertheless you will remain liable for the full balance of accommodation due, less 75% of the proceeds of any re-letting that we are able to achieve.

Providing you report to us without delay any defects in the room/cottage, or breakdown or malfunction of any of the equipment or appliances, we undertake to arrange repair and /or replacement as soon as possible. However, we shall not be liable for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services, nor any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in a cottage or in any part of "La Roulais".
 

The use of accommodation, equipment and any other amenities at "La Roulais" is at the tenants' own risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to guests personally, or their belongings (including cars.) For children under 16 years old, swimming and other activities must be under the supervision of an adult. French law requires that guests provide for themselves any insurance they consider advisable, which should include public liability. However, under no circumstances shall the owners' liability to the tenant exceed the amount paid to the owners for the rental period.

Should any essential facility at "La Roulais" be destroyed or so damaged before the start of a rental period as to make it unfit for accommodation or use, you will be immediately notified and a full refund of all monies will be made. We shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience you may suffer in this regard.

We ask that rooms be vacated by 10am. on your day of departure, unless otherwise specified.
